REC'D ON 12/21/08 VIA EMAIL FROM MARIE (PASTOR FRIENDS OF OURS) IN MISSOURI:

"(CHRIS) woke up this morning with a temp and has been chilling. He had cellulitis in his leg several years ago and I'm praying it is not flaring back up on him. Please join me in praying for his complete recovery. He *is* on antibiotics and he's taking tylenol and motrin, (alternating every 2 hrs til his fever breaks), so we're doing what we can. We're asking the Lord for a miracle. We're asking that his leg be completely and totally healed from the cellulitis and that he will be well to celebrate the Saviour's birth.

Thank you so much for your prayers. I will keep everyone updated.

Love,
Marie

Merry Christmas, everyone!"

Edna Horner, NC

Ms. Edna is in the hospital in Laurinburg, NC following being found beside her bed by her nurse. Doctors ruled out stroke as the cause, but she will now have to go into a nursing facility. That is planned for Monday, November 24. This is my sister-in-law's (Chylene Walters) grandmother; she called me on Thursday night to ask that we pray for the situation.

Lillian Wilson

REC'D FROM LINDA ROBINSON VIA EMAIL ON 10/30/08:

"I would like for you to add Lillian Wilson to the prayer and praise website. She has never been sick a day in her life and started feeling bad and having some stomach pain recently. Her husband Ed took her to the doctor and she has been thru several testS. They have found that she has a tumor on part of her pancreas. She has had other test to make sure the cancer has not spread to other parts of her body, and so far so good. The next step is to put a camera in and look at her pancreas to see if they will be able to remove the tumor. If it all goes as planned they will remove the part of the pancreas that has the tumor wrapped around it and attach the remainder of the pancreas to the small intestines.
Let's pray for success in every step of these procudures. The doctor says he has had a 97% success rate with this surgery without complications. We all know that God is the supreme healer. He gives us grace, mercy and strength.
Thank you for your prayers from myself and from Lillian, Ed and their family."

Crennan, MO

URGENT!!!
REC'D VIA EMAIL FROM MARIE PARKER IN MISSOURI ON 9/16/08:

"Chrisa,
Got this from my sister and I'm asking for prayer for this young man. Please add him to the prayer list.

'Please put our neighbor's grandson in your prayer circle. His name is Crennan, he's 18 and has spina bifida. He graduated from high school last year. He's confined to a wheelchair, and is such a sweet "kid". He's had several shunts put in his head to reduce the pressure on his brain in the past. This past week, he went into convulsions and was unresponsive. They took him to the hospital and he's in ICU - they're going to do surgery to see if he's bleeding in his brain or something. His grandmother came over as we were leaving today and was about to cry, her hands were shaking, and she said Crennan needs all the prayers he can get.'"

Cobin, TX

URGENT!!!
REC'D FROM RANDY DEE VIA EMAIL ON 9/9/08:

(COPY OF ORIGINAL EMAIL FROM MISTY PARR, MEMPHIS, TX)
"Friends, I need your help. One of Greg's business partners son was in a horrible bull riding accident on Friday. Cobin is 21 and is in Baylor Medical in Dallas. His prognosis today is that he will never walk again. He will undergo surgery on Wed or Thur, we are not sure yet. They are going to try to fuse together some discs due to the damage from his neck breaking. However, there has been damage to the spinal cord and doctors are saying that he will not walk again and he is paralyzed. I believe we have a great big GOD and I know that his strength and plans are perfect. The doctors are doctors but GOD is the Almighty healer. Please join me in praying throughout the week and more to come as Cobin has a long road ahead of him. Pray for parents, Dan and Vanna Puckett and their daughter Pason as this will be a challenge for all. They will be in the hospital at least a month they were told today. Thank you all for your friendship and willingness to get face down and pray for our brothers and sisters in Christ. Blessing to you all."

Chris,

REC'D VIA EMAIL FROM JENNIFER M ON 7/10/08:

(FORWARDED FROM JENNIFER'S FRIEND, ARA)
"Please keep my friend Chris in your prayers this week. She's the one that had a brain tumor last year. Surgeons removed it only for it to come back again. She had a second surgery and changed chemo drugs, that has kept the tumor away. Recently, she's started having symptoms, leg numbness, difficulty concentrating, etc. Her doctor moved her MRI up to next Wed fearing the tumor may be back. Please pray it has not returned and these symptoms are simply side effects from the chemo. I'm very worried about her . . . hugs, Ara"

Betty Barrett

Rec'd via email from Susan Brown on 7/29/08:

"Please put my mother (Betty Barrett) on your prayer list. She has some heart complications. Right now she has fluid around the heart and it makes her very tired. Kesha (Monley) Campbell, NC

Received a phone call from Kesha on 7/22/08 requesting prayer ...

Kesha is a life-long friend of ours, and also was one of our sons' teacher in 1st grade ... She has been in the hospital on bedrest for pregnancy-related complications for the past two weeks. She is now about 36 weeks into the pregnancy, but has pre-eclampsia. Her blood pressure is fluctuating to dangerously high numbers and she is retaining tremendous amounts of fluid. One doctor will tell her that they should deliver the baby immediately and another will come right behind that one and say no to that idea. Emotionally this is becoming a struggle for her and she stated she gets very depressed in the afternoons particularly. They have told her they estimate the baby weighs almost 5 lbs. This will be her third c-section delivery. Of course, Kesha requests we pray for her and the baby to be healthy.

She also asked me to post the phone number to her hospital room. She asked that you consider giving her a call to encourage her and/or to pray with her. I assured her that we have many prayer partners who would be comfortable doing just that. You can reach her at (910) 291.7261

Michael Monley, NC

REC'D A PHONE CALL FROM ONE OF OUR PRAYER PARTNERS, KESHA REGARDING HER BROTHER, MICHAEL:

Michael is 45 years old and suffered a stroke and as a result had to have an abcess surgically removed from his brain. He began to learn to walk again within two days after the surgery, but still has a way to go with physical therapy and such. He is currently in a nursing home, at least until his sister, Kesha, has her baby. (She is also listed on the P&PU.) Doctors have told Michael the abcess can come back, but we are going to believe with him for complete healing! Thankfully, Michael is a Christian. Let's join in prayer for him!

David Robinson, NC

Received a call from David's wife, Linda (They are members of our church, Union Chapel.) ... She said they went back to the cardiologist again today. David will have to have a catherization at 8am tomorrow (7/9/08). The doctor told them that if they get in and need to do a stint, they will most likely do it right then. He also told them to be prepared for open-heart surgery because of some problems he has had with stints already in place from years back. Should open-heart surgery be necessary, they will have to wait 5 days to operate because he is presently on Plavix. Mrs. Linda asked that we agree in prayer with them that open-heart surgery not be necessary. She sends thanks for yours prayers in advance!

Charles, NC

Charles had to go for an Endoscophy yesterday (6/19/08) and the results were not all that good. He is scheduled for another test June 26th and also a blood test(liver panel) that morning. The doctor told us yesterday that his esophagus showed "blood veins" ( like varicose veins) and that indicates some sort of liver disease. He has a follow up doctor's appointment for July 28th. Needless to say, we are a little nervous about it....but hopefully everything will turn out ok.

I forgot to mention in the other email but he is going this coming Monday (6/23) for another shot in his spine. His back is still bothering him quite a bit. I am afraid he may be looking at surgery for that. I sure hope not. Please add him to your Prayer and Praise list. We are both worried about it. The doctor showed quite a bit of concern when talking to us about the situation with his esophagus/liver.

Nancy, NC

RECEIVED VIA EMAIL FROM DEBBIE ROLLINS ON 6/19/08:

"Please pray for my friend Nancy. To those of you whose pets are part of your family you will understand. During the last few months, she has had to have 2 of her horses and 1 of her dogs put down. You must understand, she does not take putting any animal down, lightly! That is only a last resort and believe me she will do everything she can to prevent that.
She is the most dedicated and compassionate person I have ever known.
The Lord knew exactly where to place each one of these animals. She loves them with all her heart and gives them all she has and more! There was another dog that had become like one of her own that actually lived in Nancy's home with her. She had been with Nancy for a long time. This dog also had to be put down during the past few months. And yesterday, a horse that she took care of on her farm and that she had also grown to love just like one of her own, had to be put down. This is 3 horses and two dogs in just a few months. You can imagine how devastating this is.
Please pray for strength in all ways - emotionally, mentally, physically and spiritually- and that the Holy Spirit will comfort her. She still has her farm with her other horses and pets to care for. And most of the time she does it all by herself. I don't even know if someone who has worked on a farm with animals would understand what she does every day- regardless of the weather, for literally hours every day. There are men who could not do what she does. She is the one God has placed these animals with and she is their caregiver. She doesn't get paid one penny for one minute of her work. She does it with a servant's heart. So I ask that you not only pray for strength but for a financial blessing, also - beyond her comprehension.
Also, please pray for the owner of the dog and the horse. His name is Tim."

Jodi

RECEIVED VIA EMAIL FROM DEBBIE ROLLINS ON 6/19/08:

Doris Lambert, NC

Received from Deraline via email on 6/13/08:

"This is my sister and she has been is severe pain for three years. She had back surgery and the doctor really messed up her back and she is no longer able to stand straight. They put rods in to hold her straight but now she is leaning to the side. Also, now the Drs. say that her knees are bone on bone and that she needs surgery on them They are so painful she can hardly walk. A few weeks ago she started having sever chest pain and they found she had broken several ribs. Then, last Sunday, she became very disoriented, and Tues. they put her in Moses Cone Hospital in Greensboro where they are running a lot of tests. Today, they are doing a stress test. Please pray that they will be able to help her. She has no one to help her when she goes home her husband is 85yrs. old and no help at all. But I know God can send her help. She has given her life to the work of the Lord and was still playing the piano in church until 3 weeks ago. Also, her 2 children need the Lord. "

Beverly Liles, NC

Received from one of our prayer partners, Elizabeth, via email on 5/20/08:

"Mom (Beverly Liles) went to the doctor and found out that she has nodules growing on her thyroid. She is either going to have to take a radiation capsule that will burn them off or have surgery to have them cut off. We are praying that she will be able to take the radiation capsule because it is too costly for her to have the surgery. She takes blood thinners and because of that, in order to do a surgery she has to be put on Lovenox. Lovenox shots costs about $1600 for a 10 day supply (which is what she had to use with her last surgery) and it causes her to go into her doughnut whole with Medicare. When this happens, she cannot afford to buy her usual meds. Please pray with us that she will be granted the least expensive method."

Marie P, MO

Received from Marie (one of our dedicated prayer partners) via email on 5/15/08:

"Please keep me in your prayers. I woke up Sunday morning (Mother's Day) sick with a sore throat and generally not feeling well. I was on the couch all day and woke up Monday feeling just as poorly.
We had taken my daughter to the family dr. previously and she had a follow-up visit scheduled for Tuesday, so I figured I'd wait til Tuesday. I did indeed see the dr. They did a strep test, it was negative and finally they determined it was some type of infection. She put me on antiobiotics for strep, just in case the test was wrong. (my dh can't be around strep or staph due to cellulitis in his leg)

I've been so sick and can't seem to kick this. I woke up last night, after having taken some homeopathic cold syrup. The Lord woke me up out of a sound sleep and told me to go take Benadryl NOW! I did and the swelling in my throat, which I mistook for soreness in all my grogginess started going down and I was able to breathe normally after a bit.

Today my right ear is sore and infected and I still have a fever. The dr is out of the office til Monday, (I called earlier today) and I am incredibly sick. We have no insurance and I know the Lord can heal me. I know He can. I am miserable. I'm asking for prayers for Him to heal me. I'm really tired of being sick in bed all day.

Thank you for all the prayers in advance. I appreciate this prayer chain so much!

Blessings,
Marie P.

Tracy & Jeremy, NC

Received via email from Tracy on 4/28/08:

"Hey everyone! As some or all of you may know, Jeremy and I are in desperate need to sell our house! We have been hit tremendously by Jeremy's pay cut resulting from his employment with ATMC. However, I know without a doubt that Jeremy's job is straight from the Lord!!! I suddenly feel compelled to start a prayer chain for this matter! Just to give you insight: My jobs will be ending the end of May and we will not have the additional income that we are used to having. No doubt, I believe that God is and always has been Jehovah Jireh!
Please just cover us in prayer so that we may lean not on our own understanding but on HIM!!! AND that the Lord send a buyer for this house!!!!! If you feel compelled to send this to other prayer warriors....please feel free to do so!

Thank you all and God Bless YOU!!!!!
Hugs,
Tracy
Father, I know that you hear us from heaven! Your word tells us that if we humble ourselves before you and pray...that You WILL hear our prayers! Lord, I am in agreement with each and every person that reads this email! God, you have and always will supply the needs of those that call upon your name! JESUS, YOU ARE THE WAY MAKER!!!!! Thank you Father ahead of time for making a way!
We LOVE You and PRAISE You and give You ALL the glory!!

Helen, NC

URGENT!!!
Received via email on 4/20/08 from Ashley:

"I wanted to put in a prayer request for my Aunt Helen. She went the doctor a couple months ago and they found several fractures in her back and her ribs. So, they put cement in her back because her spinal cord was collapsing. She was originally 5'9" and she is now less than 5 feet tall. They thought it was osteoporosis but, now they are not sure because of the MRI they did on her april 14th. It showed three more broke vertebrates in her lower back and a tumor growing on the bone in her right arm. She is showing all signs of melanoma cancer. She is going tomorrow (4-21-08) for a biopsy to find out if the tumor is malignant or benign. She is in severe pain at all times and no pain medication is helping. She can't stand it when you touch her and she can't walk by herself or really do anything by herself. Please be in prayer for her and our family. We would really appreciate it.
-Ashley"

Sharon Danielle Carrick, MO

Received via email on 4/16/08 from Marie:

URGENT REQUEST!!!
"Please pray for Sharon Danielle Carrick, a 2 day old infant. She was born with a narrow rectum and part of her large intestine is too narrow and she also has only 2 heart valves instead of the normal 3. Please please lift her up and in prayer and her mommy and daddy, Jon and Christie. They are going to do surgery on her by Friday, unless they have to do emergency surgery sooner. Jon and Christie have 2 other children and this is also quite a strain on them financially. I appreciate the prayers and will send an update as soon as I hear something. I know God is able to make a 3rd valve and to open up her intestines and rectum."

Linda Jensen, NC

Received from prayer partner, Donna P on 4/1/08, regarding Linda, NC:

"My name is Linda Jensen from Greensboro , NC . Some of you receiving this know me, some do not. I'm 47 and have been diagnosed with O.P.C.D. this year. I started having symptoms 5 years ago. I can no longer work as a nurse, or be as independent as I used to be. I'm now on disability. O.P.C.D. is a rare neurological disease with no known cause or cure. There's no treatment available. It sort of mimics Parkinson's disease. The bottom line is that my brain is degenerating or dying. The nerve pathways are not working right. Therefore I have no coordination, gait problems, tremors, fine motor skill impairment, problems with controlling my bladder (it's spasmodic), speech difficulty, and swallowing difficulty. I will eventually die after a prolonged incapacitation. I don't want to be a burden to my family. This is a request for you to forward this e-mail to everyone you know asking them for prayer. The more people that pray for me to be healed the better.

Your prayer will save my life. Please pray and ask everyone you know to pray for the HEALING of Linda, removal of this disease from my body so that I can resume a 'normal life'. I want to continue to be a mother for my 2 college age children and a loving, supportive wife to my husband, Brent. The power of prayer is unsurpassed. I believe in its healing power. God will hear our united cry from his people. Please do not be offended by my plea. This is a simple, easy request from my heart to yours. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for reading this and helping with my request for healing. No words can express how much power we have when we ask God in prayer for help. Thank you again, and please send it to the far reaches of the earth.
Sincerely,

Linda Jensen

Steve Jones, TX

Received on 3/26/08 via email from Terri King:

"This is a prayer request just emailed to me from a co-worker. Please post it. Thank you!

This is a good friend of mine. We worked together in Arkansas and he is now in Texas. His name is Steve Jones. I would appreciate your remembering him in your prayers. He just recently returned from MD Anderson in Houston which is one of the top cancer centers in the world.

This is his email to me:
My trip to MDA was to confirm a diagnosis of recurrent kidney cancer.
Was simply told to go home and get the house in order.
Have repeatedly been told I have 4-6 months - I will beat those odds, but the long-term prognosis is not good. But we can do all things through Christ who strengthens us."

Terri's friend's sister, NC

"I have a friend, here in NC, whose sister has been told by one doctor that she may have pulmonary fibrosis. More tests have been done but the results are not in. I prayed with this friend and asked God to heal her sister and amaze the doctors. Please help me pray. I'm believing for her healing and for God to get all of the glory. Thank you!"

Roy, NC

Received via email from Cathy Jones on 3/19/08:

"I just received a phone call from my Mother, Alta Jones, age 89 in Wilkesboro, NC. Her best friend, Lexie Williamson’s son, Roy, who lives with her has been diagnosed with colon cancer. He will be going into surgery prep for a colonoscopy in the morning at 6:30 AM. The surgery will start at 7:30 AM. Sorry, I don’t know the name of the hospital, my Mom didn’t know either. But I do know that God knows right where he is. Please have everyone pray that when the surgeon opens him up all the cancer is in one spot, the tumor can be removed and he will be cancer free. Or, best of all, the surgeon does not find any cancer. Mrs. Williamson is 90 years old and might have to go to a nursing home if her son is not able to take care of her as he has been doing.
Blessings,Cathy Jones

Thomas Family, NC

This was forwarded to me via email from Donna Phelps on 3/17/08:

"The Thomas family live in a mobile home on 130 here in Ash. I know nothing about them. They had gone to the grandmother's funeral and were in the procession line going to the grave and a vehicle ran a red light andstruck their auto. The small girl was killed and her father was airlifted to a hospital. He is in critical condition. This is all I know about them.Thank you for your prayers. God Bless, Frankie"

Leigh's co-worker, NC

Received via email from Leigh on 3/5/08:

"I work with a girl who over small talk today mentioned that they found out today that her cervical cancer has returned. I don't know if she goes to church or not, and I just want to pray for her that everything will be ok. She said that they are going to do some sort of surgery but if it doesn't work they will have to do a full hysterectomy. She is young and still has time for children."
