Tye Blanton, NC

RECEIVED VIA EMAIL 6/26/08 FROM BOTH CHYLENE WALTERS AND LINDA CAVINESS:

"Most of you are aware of the young state trooper that was killed in HaywoodCounty Tuesday. Trooper Shawn Blanton left behind a wife and son. His son,Tye, was born 7 weeks premature and has been in serious condition since hisbirth May 31st. I just spoke with my friend, Mark, who is also a NC StateTrooper and worked with Shawn. He informed me that Tye was placed on life support this afternoon and is now very critical. The NC Highway Patrol is asking everyone they can possibly reach to please remember Shawn's son in your thoughts and prayers. If you feel led to do so, please pass this prayer request along. For the service, dedication and commitment that Shawn displayed and these folks show usevery day, this I can do. Thanks everyone."

Charles, NC

Charles had to go for an Endoscophy yesterday (6/19/08) and the results were not all that good. He is scheduled for another test June 26th and also a blood test(liver panel) that morning. The doctor told us yesterday that his esophagus showed "blood veins" ( like varicose veins) and that indicates some sort of liver disease. He has a follow up doctor's appointment for July 28th. Needless to say, we are a little nervous about it....but hopefully everything will turn out ok.

I forgot to mention in the other email but he is going this coming Monday (6/23) for another shot in his spine. His back is still bothering him quite a bit. I am afraid he may be looking at surgery for that. I sure hope not. Please add him to your Prayer and Praise list. We are both worried about it. The doctor showed quite a bit of concern when talking to us about the situation with his esophagus/liver.
