David Robinson, NC

Received a call from David's wife, Linda (They are members of our church, Union Chapel.) ... She said they went back to the cardiologist again today. David will have to have a catherization at 8am tomorrow (7/9/08). The doctor told them that if they get in and need to do a stint, they will most likely do it right then. He also told them to be prepared for open-heart surgery because of some problems he has had with stints already in place from years back. Should open-heart surgery be necessary, they will have to wait 5 days to operate because he is presently on Plavix. Mrs. Linda asked that we agree in prayer with them that open-heart surgery not be necessary. She sends thanks for yours prayers in advance!

David went through the catherization yesterday, but the doctors were unable to help him that way. He is scheduled for open-heart surgery on Thursday, July 10, 2008 at 6am. Please agree with us for God's Hand to be upon him and the doctors and staff as he undergoes this! God is great and greatly to be praised!

Spoke with Lisa Milligan, David's daughter today on the phone. She said David is still in ICU and his major need now is for the nausea to subside so he can keep some water down. The nurse came in and gave him three sips of water about 2:30 and told him she'd give him some more in a little while. If he keeps it down, they will remove the tube to his stomach and will be able to regulate his pain more efficiently. Let's all pray for David to keep the water down and have NO NAUSEA! Also, they told him that if he continues to do well, they may move him to a private ICU room so the noise won't be so bad. Lisa and her family thank everyone for your continued prayers!

Received a phone call 7/12/08 around 4:30pm from David's wife, Linda. She says David main request is still for the Lord to take away the nausea he is experiencing. They did remove the tube to his stomach, but he wasn't able to eat yet. He has had some water, but get nauseated when he drinks it. He is having quite a bit of pain still and has one chest tube remaining for drainage. He remains in ICU but is looking forward to going to a patient room, hopefully soon. (The nausea is keeping him in ICU.) They are beginning to think it may be from the medicine(s) they are giving him. Please earnestly pray this evening for him to have no nausea! Thank you again for each thought and prayer!

Your prayers worked again! The nausea subsided and David was moved to a regular room on Monday. He was doing so good ... walking the halls, no more nausea, etc. and was able to go home yesterday, 7/15/08! Let's continue to pray for strength and healing during his recuperation time!
