Timothy Helms, NC

REC'D VIA EMAIL FROM DONNA PHELPS ON 04/05/09:

"It is with much regret that I inform everyone that inmate Timothy Helms medical condition continues to decline. Per his family, he still can not sit on his own, or feed himself. As many know, Timothy Helms has been hospitalized at Central Prison since August 2008, due to being beaten almost to death by prison guards. He substained brain damage, along with paralyzing injuries, while being beaten with handcuffs and shackles on. He only has an IQ of 79, has been diagnosed with numerous mental disorders since age 10, and was in solitary confinement at Alexander Correctional when this incident occured. This man needs a healing miracle and I know that my God can make it happen. Please pray that the Lord will reveal all the officers involved in this tragic incident, that these officers will repent and that justice will prevail, pray for strength for his brother Mike and all the family members, pray for Tim's healing to come forth and that he be released immediately, and pray that the Lord will give us wisdom in dealing with the family through this crisis.
