Jeanette Patterson, NC

Jeanette was taken to the emergency room on Tuesday with a gall bladder flare up. They decided to keep her and did a heart catherization on her on Wednesday to make sure her heart was in good enough shape to proceed with surgery. That went ok.
Today (Friday, March 6) at 2pm she is scheduled to have her gall bladder removed. They also found a growth about the size of a volley ball and will remove that at the same time. Regina Ivey, our church (Union Chapel) secretary/treasurer is Jeanette's daughter and is asking that we lift her mother in prayer today.

I just got a call from Regina. Her mom came through surgery ok and is recovering. The doctors removed a mass that had 2 gallons of water in it (weighing ~18 pounds!)as well as her gall bladder. There was cancer INSIDE the mass, but they removed the entire thing, so they aren't real concerned with that. This was a major surgery, so she is asking that we continue to pray for her!

'Today we moved mama to a rehab center in Apex - it is part of Rex Hospital and we are already pleased with it - she seemed a little subdued a first but was in better spirits when we left - she still is very weak but they said they would start therapy tomorrow - they have therapy 6 days a week so she should be very busy - we still need your prayers that she will work hard and realize that she hopefully will be able to do more than she has been able to do for a long time - lift Fran up as she is going hard at it with work and being there for mama - she needs to slow down and really get some rest but she is hard headed as most of you know - love to you all - sylvia'"

"The doctors are now telling Mama she has bone cancer. But, doctors have been wrong before. My God is greater than cancer. She will have to go to Chapel Hill Tuesday, 5/26 for an MRI. Please pray that God will give my mama peace that she will be fiine. God Bless, Regina"
